Distribution of food and prayer to the residents of Maxwell House and the veterans of the Freedom's Path community.

The Pantry is a mobile ministry providing monthly distributions of food and prayer support to the residents of the Maxwell House Apartments and Freedom’s Path (a housing community for disabled veterans). Our partnership with these 2 communities gives The Pantry an opportunity to be the hands and heart of Jesus to many in the margins. The Pantry’s food supplies are acquired through its partnership with Golden Harvest Food Bank, along with generous contributions made by individual donors.

Certain items are always needed, as volunteers continually keep the pantry stocked to make sure there is enough for an equitable distribution.  Please click this link to see the items that are needed.

Pathways is an extension of the Pantry and is also offered to Maxwell House and Freedom’s Path residents. It was created to assist the residents of these communities in obtaining health and cleaning products at a deeply discounted rate. The items offered by Pathways are those typically not covered by food stamps, yet are vital for both health and well-being. By providing clients an opportunity to purchase items (as opposed to free handouts), Pathways fills an important need while maintaining the dignity of those served. The funds generated by Pathways are then fed back into the program to ensure its work can continue.

Pantry and Pathways Testimony

Being part of ‘Bags & Hugs’ has shown me that I have a heart to help others. Getting to know the people who live at Maxwell House and Freedom’s Path and sharing God’s love makes me feel like I have an extended family. Thank you Lord for showing me one way to show your love.
