Volunteering Opportunities
There are many ways that the community can partner with The Mosaic Center to break down barriers and bless our neighbors. For example, GED volunteers play a huge role in the strength of our organization, helping provide every student with the personal and customized instruction he/she needs. Our volunteers help improve literacy and language skills, increasing our students’ employment prospects.
Women of Worth volunteers have the opportunity to work one-one-one with a marginalized but very competent, capable, and empowered population of women. While many of our mentees have barriers to self-sufficiency, they also have an enormous amount of potential. Our Women of Worth mentors help our participants take an active role in improving their lives. As mentors, we encourage, support, and celebrate every victory.
Currently-available volunteer opportunities are listed in the volunteer application (below) and are updated regularly. Whether your passion lies in teaching, helping children, marketing, or event planning, we are here to help you fulfill your call to serve.
Make a Donation
At The Mosaic Center, we take the responsible stewardship of all monetary gifts seriously. Management of our limited resources is performed by a financial team dedicated to both transparency and accountability. Yearly financial reports are provided to donors and are publicly available upon request. If you have any questions about TMC’s financial management, please email info@themosaiccenterevans.org, and a member of the team would be happy to speak with you.
Donations to The Mosaic Center fulfill a variety of program and operational needs. For example:
- $300 can provide a laptop for the GED Program
- $200 can supply The Pantry with enough food to feed 60 households for one week
- $100 can pay for transportation services at Maxwell House for one month
- $50 can purchase curriculum for a Women of Worth participant for one year
- $25 can pay for healthy and safe snacks for 25 developmentally disabled children at one Parents’ Night Out event
